Kanhucharan Mohapatra, a resident of Gurujanga, Khordha, had been a loyal customer of the Jeevika Foundation for a year. In his first loan cycle, he had borrowed 35,000 rupees to establish his humble food stall. With determination and hard work, Kanhucharan’s business flourished, and he successfully completed his first loan cycle.
Buoyed by his success, Kanhucharan decided to expand his business further. He approached the Jeevika Foundation once again, this time seeking a loan of 60,000 rupees. With the additional funds, he not only expanded his food stall but also opened a vegetable shop adjacent to it.
Reflecting on his journey, Kanhucharan Mohapatra expressed his gratitude, saying, “I am truly grateful to the Jeevika Foundation for providing me with a loan during the initial stages of my business. It played a crucial role in my growth and success.”
Today, Kanhucharan’s food stall and vegetable shop serve as a testament to his hard work and the support he received from the Jeevika Foundation. He has become an inspiration for others in his community, demonstrating the transformative power of a small loan and determination.
